The history of Panerai dates back to 1860, when a small watch shop with a watchmaking school and repair workshop was founded in Florence. In 1936, Panerai introduced the iconic Radiomir — the world’s first waterproof wristwatch for military divers. Until 1993, these timepieces remained exclusive to the army, after which they became available to the public, admired for their GMT systems, 10-day power reserves, and other technical marvels combining precision and style.
Panerai watches reflect their maritime heritage in every detail — robust water-resistant cases, signature crown guards, and excellent legibility even in the dark. - Radiomir. An iconic wristwatch collection whose core design principles were established in 1936. At first glance, Radiomir watches are instantly recognizable as the epitome of vintage military classics: a cushion-shaped case with rounded edges, a round, solid-color dial in elegant tones—black, green, blue, or brown—harmonious luminescent hour markers, and a rugged leather strap with contrast stitching. In addition to classic models, the modern collection offers complex mechanical watches, including the Radiomir Minute Repeater Tourbillon GMT, featuring a decimal minute repeater, the signature tourbillon, and a time zone indicator.
- Luminor. The Luminor collection retains the traditional features of the brand's military watches developed in the 1950s. Its distinctive features include a protective semicircular crown guard and a distinctive cushion-shaped case. Modern models in the collection boast a more elegant design, including textured dial finishes with a sunray effect and vibrant tones, such as light blue luminescent materials used to illuminate dial elements. In the early 1990s, a watch from this collection was chosen by Sylvester Stallone, who wore it during the filming of the underwater scenes in the movie "Daylight." One of the first Luminor models was sold at Sotheby's in 2014 for a record-breaking 425,000 Swiss francs (over $460,000).
- Luminor Due. This collection reimagines the classic Luminor design with a contemporary twist. Like its predecessor, the watches retain the cushion-shaped case and signature crown guard, but feature a 40% thinner case that's fully polished, lending it a touch of glamour. The alligator leather strap palette has also been expanded, including options in light and vibrant shades of blue, sand, and red.
- Submersible. This is a collection of wristwatches that can be used by professional divers. The watches boast a high water resistance of up to 300 meters and feature a sporty, rugged design, typically in dark tones dominated by the hues of the deep sea, such as black and navy blue. A unidirectional rotating bezel allows you to monitor dive time, while large, contrasting hands, brightly luminescent in the dark, help you tell the time confidently in the dark and underwater. The watches are available with leather, fabric, or rubber straps, or with a signature bracelet.
