The independent Swiss watch manufacture maintains full control over quality and produces every component of its movements in-house.

Heinrich Moser was born in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, in 1805. His grandfather, Johann, and his father, Erhard, were talented watchmakers. As the heir to this exceptional craftsmanship, Heinrich quickly became a recognized expert in the watchmaking industry in Le Locle, and by the age of 21, he had founded his own workshop. In 1828, Heinrich traveled to St. Petersburg, where he established the company H. Moser & Cie. The brand's exclusive timepieces soon earned the admiration of Russian princes and members of the Imperial Court. The company even supplied movements to other watchmakers — many of Fabergé's table clocks were equipped with movements produced by H. Moser & Cie.

In 1829, in pursuit of maintaining the highest quality standards, Heinrich Moser moved the production to Le Locle, the heart of Swiss watchmaking.

In 2005, Heinrich Moser's great-grandson, Roger Nicholas Balsiger, together with Dr. Jürgen Lange and Thomas Straumann, revived H. Moser & Cie. in the canton of Schaffhausen, establishing a new manufacture. In 2012, the Meylan family brought their invaluable expertise to the company's development. Georges-Henri Meylan aimed to build an independent watchmaking enterprise capable of sustaining profitability both in the present and the future — a vision now carried forward by his son, Edouard Meylan, the current CEO of H. Moser & Cie.
